Buster D. ''Smokey'' Borner, who worked for CESSCO Inc. construction company, died 
May 6, 1996, in a Clackamas hospital of complications of diabetes. He was 46. 

 A funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in Lincoln Memorial Park Funeral Home. 

 Mr. Borner was born Jan. 15, 1950, in Mandan, N.D. His family was a military service 
family and lived in England, Germany and Turkey before moving to Portland in his 
early teens. He served in the U.S. Navy in 1968-'69. He later became a mechanic for 
CESSCO for 18 years. He was shop foreman. 

 He married Peggy A. in 1977. She survives along with his daughter, Jessica of 
Portland; sons, Tyrone and John, both of Portland; mother, Colleen Miller of Portland; 
brother, Paul of Boring; and sisters, Sherry Williams of Portland and Melanie Watson 
of Clackamas. 

 Burial will be in Willamette National Cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to a 
charity of the donor's choice.
