Richard "Ricky" John Guerrero, 59, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 9, 
2012, at Hendrick Hospice Unit. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at St. Francis 
Catholic Church, 826 Cottonwood Street, Abilene with Deacon Mark Main officiating. 
Burial will follow in Abilene Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral 
Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends at a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at 
the funeral home. 

Richard "Ricky" was born February 8, 1953 to Pascual Guerrero and Emilia Alvarez 
Guerrero in Abilene, Texas. He married Debbie Vinson in 1971 and was a very loving 
husband for their short 41 years of marriage. Ricky was an honorable man and a 
protector of his family. He enjoyed classic cars and was a mechanic from the age of 
10 years old. Ricky worked alongside his brothers in the Guerrero Business as a 
mechanic. He loved everybody, a very giving and generous man who would help 
anyone out, especially his nieces and nephews. Ricky's heart was never full, always 
ready to receive people in his life. His grandkids were his passion and he was known 
as PaPa to them. Ricky enjoyed spending time with his brothers in the shop.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild, Bryson Pate Hewitt.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Guerrero; three daughters, Gina Guerrero, Reatha 
Howard (Wade), and Shannon Vinson; brothers, Pascual Guerrero, Jr. (Lydia), 
Raymond Guerrero (Ruth), Simon Guerrero, Gilbert Guerrero (Linda), Benjamin 
Guerrero (Ann), Freddy Guerrero (Lorrie), Ruben Guerrero (Dana), and David Guerrero 
(Sandra); sisters, Patsy Sartor and Emily Farmer (Ken); grandchildren, Jackson Hewitt, 
Curtis Hewitt {Randa}, Coen Hewitt, Meagan Self (Anthony), Samantha Crabtree, 
Brandon Crabtree, Caylin Sanders, and Keyleigh Sanders; great-grandchildren, Dana 
Self, Ethan and Addison Hewitt, and Taybri Crabtree; a host of other family members; 
and thirty nieces and twenty-seven nephews. 

The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Victor Hirsch and his staff. A 
heartfelt thank you to Rudy Gaona and Dale Grice for going above and beyond. Your 
kindness is greatly appreciated.
