Mrs. Lucille C. Fitzsimmons, 95, of Huntsville, Ala., and formerly of La Porte, died 
Saturday, March 31, 2007, at 4:30 a.m. at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, 
Ga., after a 1½-year illness. 

She was born Sept. 8, 1911, in Chicago to Lester and Edna (Scofield) Fish. 

Mrs. Fitzsimmons had been a bookkeeper and a receptionist. She was a former 
member of St. Peter Catholic Church in La Porte. She was an avid gardener and 
dancer and a loving homemaker. 

On June 22, 1933, in La Porte, she married Laurence P. Fitzsimmons, who died in April 
1965. 

Also preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Laverne McKibbin. 

Surviving are one daughter, Karyl Millican of Las Vegas; three sons, Laurence of 
Brunswick, James (Diane) of St. Louis and John (Beth) of Huntsville, Ala.; five 
grandchildren, Terry and Tamara Millican, Jack and Lindsay Fitzsimmons, and Amy 
Powell; and one great-grandchild. 

The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home, La Porte, with Rev. 
Joseph Angotti officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 9 a.m. until the service. 
Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
