Frances B. Olney, 90, died at 9:45 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008, at Blu-Fountain Manor 
in Godfrey. 

Born April 23, 1918, in Atlanta, N.Y., she was the daughter of Augustus B. and Mary 
(Johnston) Stanton. 

On Sept. 5, 1936, in Keuka Park, N.Y., she married Edward H. Olney. He preceded 
her in death on Feb. 28, 1999. 

She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Dunnellon, Fla., and had been a 
member of the Italy-Naples Baptist Church in Naples, N.Y., for several years, serving 
as church treasurer for more than 20 years. 

Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Hanggi and her husband, Albert, of Naples; a son, 
the Rev. Tom Olney and his wife, Lee, of Godfrey; a son-in-law, Jim Guile of Valdosta, 
Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. 

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kay 
Guile; a great-grandchild, Andy Hanggi; a brother, Willett Stanton; and two sisters, 
Charlotte McDaniel and Margarite Stanton. 

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, at 
the Baird-Moore Funeral Home in Naples, N.Y. The Rev. Tom Olney will officiate. 

Burial will be at the Italy-Naples Baptist Church Cemetery in Italy-Naples. 

Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Valley Christian School in Alton. 

Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of local arrangements.
