John A. Arbogast, 74, of Tiffin, died at 10:39 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Mercy 
Tiffin Hospital. 

John was born on April 10, 1937, in Tiffin, to the late Dwight Montgomery and Helen 
Louise (Shelt) Arbogast. He married Sue Ann (Mitten) in Castalia on July 16, 1955 and 
she survives in Tiffin. 

John is survived by his children, Steven Mark (Carol) Arbogast of Raleigh, N.C., John 
Phillip (Kerry) Arbogast of Catawba Island, James Randall Arbogast of Tiffin, Jo Marie 
(Brett) Might of Republic, Susan Lynn (Peter) Galipeau of Tiffin, uncle, Charles Shelt 
of Port Charlotte, FL seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Carol 
Engle of Tiffin, two nieces and a nephew. 

John worked at Excel Wire in Tiffin, Brand Rex in Connecticut and was a 1955 
graduate of Tiffin Columbian and a 1961 graduate of Heidelberg College. John enjoyed 
wood carving, his animals and also enjoyed following the local football teams. 

There will be visitation held on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 4-7 p.m., at the 
Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory in Tiffin with prayers to be said at 7:00 p.m. 
by Rev. Michael Roemmele. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic cemetery at a 
later date. 

Memorials contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society or to 
F.A.C.T.
