WIEGMAN, JOHN "JACK" - Passed away on November 17, 2011 after a long illness at
Allegiance Hospice Home age 85 years. He is survived by Joan, his wife of 64 years
and children, Peter (Cathy) Wiegman of Jackson and Sue (Woody) Bowman of White
Cloud, MI and grandchildren, Morgan, Brandon, Alisia, and Enrique; sisters, Jane
Scroggin and Mary Redding also survive. He served in the United States Air Force
during World War II. Jack received a Bachelor's Degree in Mortuary Science in 1950
from the Cincinnati College of Embalming. He retired as supervisor from Michigan Blue
Shield in 1988. Jack was a charter member of St. James Lutheran Church serving as
council secretary for 18 years. He was past president of the Jackson Downtown
Kiwanis Club and for many years had fun playing ZZA ZZA with the Kiwanis Mighty Art
Players for their annual newspaper sale skit program to the enjoyment of the members
and guests. He was a member of the couples Bridge Club in Jackson for over 40 years
and also a long time member of the Twilighter Golf Club. He organized and played with
the Ball Street Literary and Social Club (poker) which was named for his residence in
Fremont, Ohio at that time. Funeral services will be held at the ST. JAMES
LUTHERAN CHURCH on Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Lerum officiating.
The family wishes to bless and thank the staff and volunteers at Allegiance Hospice
Home for the wonderful and loving care he received while there. Memorials may be
made to St. James Lutheran Church, 425 South Jackson Road, Jackson, MI

Hospice Home, 2150 Kingsbrooke Drive, Jackson, MI 49203. Visitation will he held on
Sunday, at the WATSON FUNERAL CHAPEL from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and on Monday at
