Obituary: Ingeborg H. Price ’48
Ingeborg Angele Maria Hansen Price, 84, passed away peacefully in her home Dec. 
12, 2010, surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late Fritz and Alma Hansen on Feb. 24, 1926, in Philadelphia. 
Inge graduated from Antioch College in 1948 where she later married David Glendower 
Price (1926 - 2002), a 1952 graduate of Antioch College. They lived together in 
Virginia Beach since 1955, and enjoyed 53 years of a caring and devoted marriage.

Inge was a supportive wife and mother, and although her focus was as a homemaker, 
worked for years as a massage therapist at the A.R.E. She also volunteered as a Girl 
Scout leader and later with her husband, was a member of the Science of the Soul 
Study Group.

Inge is survived by four children, Antiochian Peter Price '74, Jeanne Branich, Matthew 
(Gigi) and Mark (Cristina); five grandchildren, Jessica (Mike Keefe), Andrew (Pam), 
Kimberly, Amy and William; a great-grandchild, Logan; a brother, Gerhard (Hazel) 
Hansen; and a brother-in-law, Wym (Gail) Price.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Sentara 
Hospice Program. A memorial service for Inge will be held at a later date. Cremation & 
Funeral Services of Tidewater assisted the family
