quarterback and president of Young and Rubicam. 
Or this could be his father, as apparently he headed the War Advertising Council, and 
this Chester LaRoche would be too young.
Some pages show a Yale guy as Chester J LaRoche. He is Chester James LaRoche, 
according to ww2 draft reg, with Young and Rubicam b 1892. His wife was Calra 
Russell, so is he Chester Rea's father? YES, per 24 Apr 1935 ship arrival, he is with 
his dtr Joan (I know she is a dtr from an awt entry) and son Chester b 1927 (based on 
age, so it is 1926). But also shown, though x'd out, on 22 Apr 1935 sailing, with 
Mathilde L. La Roche, his sister, but not his father.
In 1946, a Chester R LaRoche is shown as dec cadet on the Norway Victory, age 19 
(1926), race Irish. I think Clara is second wife, as she shows up on 1940s crossings 
but not 1930s. and she is 10 yrs younger, too young to be mother of Chester R.  Hmm.

Chester Rea LaRoche, son of Chester James LaRoche and Mathilde Hopkins 
LaRoche, died Friday, March 24, 2006, at the age of 79. Born in New York City and 
attended The Buckley School, Phillips Exeter College, graduating with the class of 
1950 and serving in the Merchant Marines during WWII. LaRoche was a tennis and 
squash varsity team member at Yale.

LaRoche worked in advertising, starting at Young & Rubicam and then CJ. Lawrence & 
Company. He was an Advertising Director at the Remington Electric Shaver Division of 
Sperry Rand from 1967 to 1973 and after that served as Executive Vice President at 
the American Association of advertising Agency years. Subsequently, he was Partner 
at Embryonics, a market research firm, then retired from advertising to become a 
squash racquets professional Club of New York City. He helped lead the Yale Club 
Squash team in the NYC Metro League for a number of years in the 1980s.

Surviving are his son, Todd LaRoche (Yale Class of 1978) of Greenfield, NY, two 
daughters, Cara David of Egreville, France, and Amelia LaRoche of Searsmont, Maine, 
his grandson and granddaughter, Tristan and Alizee David of Egreville, France, his 
niece, Kim Sinclair of Hove, England, and his half-brother, Sean LaRoche of Ocala, 
Florida.

13 Mar 1953 Brooklyn Daily Eagle (NY) describe him as "Roz Russell's nephew"
