Wilmer E. Latshaw, 61, a resident of Berwyn for 30 years and a pharmaceutical 
chemist for SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceutical, died last Sunday at his home. 

Mr. Latshaw was born in Newcastle and grew up in Warren, where he attended 
Warren High School. He received a bachelor of science degree from the University of 
Michigan and a master's degree from the St. Louis School of Pharmacy. 

Mr. Latshaw served in the Army during the Korean War. In 1954 he joined the firm that 
is now SmithKline Beecham in Philadelphia. 

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing and traveling, as well as doing yard work. 

He was an active member of Berwyn United Methodist Church. 

Mr. Latshaw is survived by his wife, the former Martha Satterthwait, a daughter, Beth 
Kaniefski, a son, Steven, and a brother, John. 

A memorial service was to be held Thursday at Berwyn United Methodist Church, 
Berwyn. Interment was to be in Winona, Ohio. 

In his memory, contributions may be made to the Paoli Memorial Hospital Cancer 
Center Building Fund, Lancaster Ave., Paoli. 19301. Edition: PENNA
