Lauren M. McGee,

Lauren M. McGee, 48, of New Castle, died tragically Thursday, April 19, 2007. An 
uncontrollable fire took her life in the home she loved.
Born in Wilmington Jan. 22, 1959, Lauren was a graduate of Delcastle High School 
and attended Goldey-Beacom College. She was currently employed as a senior legal 
secretary with the Delaware Department of Justice.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph J. Nedwick Jr.
She is survived by her husband, William McGee of Elsmere, Md.; two children, Rian 
McGee and her companion Zack Rose of Cleveland, OH, and Kevin McGee of New 
Castle and Elsmere, who survived the fire; mother and stepfather, Barbara A. 
Henderson Harkins and Frank Harkins of Rehoboth Beach; two sisters, Connie 
Thompson of Frederick, Md. and Barbara Moreno of Townsend; two aunts, Debra 
August and Dorothy Broadwater; an uncle, Jimmy Nedwick; three great-aunts; three 
nephews, Ian, John and Josh; two nieces, Erica and Kaitlynn; cousins; and many 
friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 25, at the Spicer-Mullikin 
Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Pkwy., New Castle, where friends may call after 5 p.m.
Lauren was an amazing woman whose outgoing, caring, strong and loyal personality 
will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Lauren may be made to Susan G. Komen for 
the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
