Holly E. Coles, 35, died of respiratory failure Thursday at Buttonwood Hospital, 
Pemberton Township. 

She had lived in Pemberton Township for 15 years. She grew up in Maple Shade. 

Miss Coles, who had a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system and went 
blind in third grade, attended schools for the blind in Maryland and Massachusetts. 

She learned Braille quickly, amazing her teachers with her eagerness and adaptability, 
her mother said. She also took dance classes and guitar lessons as a child. Later in 
life, she loved music and was soothed by the sound of her mother's voice on tapes 
sent from Minnesota. 

Miss Coles is survived by her parents, Charlotte Knez and Craig Coles; grandparents 
Raymond Coles and Ruth Coggiola; stepbrothers David Coles, Matthew Coles, and Jon 
Knez; and a stepsister, Sara Knez. 

Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today at the Lewis Funeral Home, 78 E. Main 
St., Moorestown, where funeral services will at 10:30. Burial will be in Lakeview 
Memorial Park, Cinnaminson. Edition: JERSEY-C
