Helen G. "Gerry" O'Brien 75, Carmel, passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2004. Gerry 
was born January 28, 1929 to the late John L. and Helen F. Loughney Hugg in 
Baltimore, MD. She was a manager for Jeans Plus from 1975 to 1983. Gerry was a 
member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, the Carmel Women's Club and Knit-
wits. A funeral mass will be conducted Saturday, May 8 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth 
Seton Catholic Church. Friends may call Friday, May 7 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Flanner & 
Buchanan Funeral Center - Carmel. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. She 
was the widow of Arthur J. "Obie" O'Brien. She is survived by her children Franny 
(Craig) Elson, Libby O'Brien, Johnny (Lourdes) O'Brien, Michael (Shane) O'Brien and 
Timmy (Denise) O'Brien; grandchildren Sean, Betsy, Andrew, Alex, Lockne, Nick, 
Lucy, Kelsie and Ashleigh; great-granddaughter Maggie; sisters Mary Gertrude Migoet 
and Elizabeth Scott. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice.
