Joe Rodia, 56, who operated Rodia's Bait & Tackle Shop in Rio Grande, N.J., for the 
last 13 years, died yesterday at Burdette Tomlin Hospital in Cape May Court House, 
N.J. 

Born in Hammonton, N.J., he grew up in Stratford. He trained trotting horses from New 
York to Florida for 20 years before entering the fishing tackle business. 

He was a knowledgeable source of fishing information for South Jersey, including 
Delaware Bay. 

He is survived by his wife, Audrey; a son, Joe Jr.; a daughter, Valerie DiGiovanni, and 
two grandchildren. 

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Radzieta Funeral Home on Hand 
Avenue, Cape May Court House. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 a.m. 
Monday at Our Lady of the Angels Church, Cape May Court House.
