EVERETT - Edna J. (Gustafson) Capuano, of Everett and St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin 
Islands and formerly of Worcester, died Feb. 5 in Brigham & Women's Hospital in 
Boston.

She leaves her husband of 30 years, Eugene Capuano; a brother, John Gustafson of 
St. Croix and formerly of Worcester. Born, raised and educated in Worcester, daughter 
of Allen and Astrid (Carlson) Gustafson, she lived in Boston before moving to Everett. 
She received a bachelor's degree from Boston University in Boston.

Mrs. Capuano owned and operated Capuano's Associates Real Estate. Previously, she 
was chief of the Citizen's Aid Bureau and an ombudsman for Elliot Richardson when 
he was attorney general and she was staff director in his office when he was 
lieutenant governor. She was also a fund-raiser for the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston 
and a member of former Gov. Francis W. Sargent's Council for Women. She was a 
past president of the Everett Chamber of Commerce.

The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow in Faith Lutheran Church, 360 South 
Main St., Andover. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American 
Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Murphy-O'Hara-Romano 
Funeral Home, 519 Broadway, is directing arrangements.
