On April 26, 2008, Lucille C. Ring, a longtime resident of Clinton, CT, died after a 
long, courageous battle with lung cancer and other chronic ailments. Born on 
November 23, 1941 in Bridgeport, CT. Ring graduated from the University of 
Connecticut. She taught in the Clinton Public School System before going to work for 
AT&T in Wallingford, CT and White Plains, NY. Throughout her life, she was involved 
in numerous volunteer activities. She was the proud mother of four children: John Ring 
(Betsy) of Bethesda, MD; Mary Breslin (Mike) of Fairfax, VA; Vincent Ring (Tara) of 
Sandwich, MA;

and Kevin Ring (Kerrie) of Kensington, MD; loving grandmother to eleven 
grandchildren; and generous aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was 
predeceased by her mother, Ann Cerino, and her brother, Anthony Cerino. She is 
survived by her father, Anthony Cerino of Stratford, CT, and siblings Joseph Cerino 
(Barbara) of Wake- field, RI; Jacqueline Vallillo (Dave) of Stratford, CT; sister-inlaw 
Maureen Cerino of Stratford, CT; Anne Spoldi (Franco) of Morgan Hill, CA; and Carey 
Moran (James) of Shelton, CT. Her sense of humor, quiet faith, and compassion for the 
less fortunate will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends may call at the 
Swan Funeral Home, 80 East Main Street, Clinton, CT on Thursday, May 1 from 3 to 
5pm and 7 to 9pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church of the Visitation, 
54 Grove Street, Clinton, CT on Friday, May 2 at 10:30am. Memorial contributions may 
be made in lieu of flowers to either the Norwalk Hospital Foundation, 34 Maple Street,
