Anthony Louis Cerino, 45, died Friday (January 5, 2007) at his home in Lords Point, 
Stonington. Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Kodman Cerino and his 
cherished children, Tony, Jimmy, and Lauren. Tony will be sadly missed by his parents 
Joseph and Barbara Cerino of South Kingston RI., his siblings Barbara Bermingham 
and her husband Kevin, Joseph Cerino and his wife Kathy of Higganum, as well as his 
grandfather Anthony Louis Cerino of Stratford. Tony is predeceased by his loving 
brother Raymond. Tony is also survived by his parents-in-law, Val and Barbara 
Kodman of Wallingford; sister-in-law, Valerie Kodman and brother-in law James 
Kodman and his wife Paula, in addition to nephews Joseph and Raymond and nieces 
Meghan, Kristen and Holly. Tony had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will 
miss him dearly. Visitation at Dinoto Funeral Home, Mystic on Tuesday from 2-4:45 
p.m. immediately followed by a service at 5 p.m. A reception for family and friends will

Anthony L. Cerino STONINGTON - Anthony Louis Cerino, 45, died Friday, Jan. 5, 
2007, at his home in Lords Point, Stonington, after a courageous battle with ALS. 
Tony is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Kodman Cerino, and their cherished 
children, Tony, Jimmy, and Lauren. Tony will be sadly missed by his parents Joseph 
and Barbara Cerino of South Kingston, R.I.; his sister, Barbara and her husband, 
Kevin of Shelton; brother, Joseph and his wife, Kathy of Higganum; and grandfather, 
Anthony Louis of Stratford. Tony is predeceased by his loving brother, Raymond. Tony 
is also survived by his parents-in-law, Val and Barbara Kodman of Wallingford; sister-
in-law, Valerie Kodman; and brothers-in-law, George Contos and James Kodman and 
his wife, Paula; in addition to nephews, Joseph, Raymond and Aaron; and nieces, 
Meghan, Kristen and Holly. Tony had many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will 
miss him dearly. Tony worked as an environmental editor for Business and Legal 
Reports, in Old Saybrook. He was a graduate of the University of Bridgeport and 
Shelton High School. Tony treasured watching his sons play hockey for the South 
Eastern Connecticut Sea-

hawks, where he had been actively involved and a member of the board. He also 
loved to watch his sons play baseball with Pawcatuck Little League, where he helped 
coach both his sons' teams. Tony also loved living in Lords Point. Tony enjoyed 
fishing, boating, swimming and scuba diving. Services were held Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 
The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Historic downtown Mystic, with a reception for 
family and friends following. Donations may be made to Cerino Children's Education 
Fund in care of Citizens Bank, 23 Broadway CT 082, Mystic, CT 06355, or to the ALS
