For the murder of Galyna Dotsyak there is the first instance sentence: Gennaro Rodia, 
63, was sentenced to life imprisonment while his nephew Modestino, 37, made up for 
two years with a plea deal. This is the sentence issued by the court of Avellino. The 
magistrates of the capital of Irpinia have accepted the request made by the 
Prosecutor of Avellino. Galyna, a 56-year-old Ukrainian carer, was found dead on 5 
June last year in the Terminio woods.

"Rodia is innocent." The coroner Paolo Picciocchi insists on her thesis: "Galyna was 
not killed with sticks but she was hit by a car". Yesterday evening Gennaro Rodia was 
released from prison and obtained house arrest. The singular aspect of this legal case 
is that the man, convicted of that crime committed in Serino, was entrusted to his 
adviser, that is to Professor Picciocchi, who took Rodia to his home in Avellino. The 
prisoner is very ill and his health conditions are incompatible with the prison system, 
as Professor Picciocchi has always denounced.
