Rosa De Simone, nee Frasca, 89, of Melrose Park, IL; born Dec. 8, 1921 in Serino, 
Italy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 3, 2011; 
beloved mother of Rosanna (Sam) Scala, Mimma (Don) Ralls, Fiorella (Bill) Auriemma 
and Salvatore (Donna) De Simone; dear grandmother to Maria (Joe) Pieranunzi, 
Christina (Ben) D'Andrea, Angelo (Diana) Scala, Don (Tina) Ralls, Rosa (Mario) Florio, 
Anthony Ralls, Sam (Joellen) Scala, Frank Auriemma, Andrea De Simone, Nick De 
Simone, Analisa Auriemma, Billy Auriemma, Reno De Simone and Angelo De Simone; 
proud great-grandmother of 13; also survived by her sisters Anna (the late Angelo) 
Cumbo and Maria (Anthony) Rocco, as well as a large extended family. Rosa 
immigrated to Melrose Park from Italy in 1957 and spent her entire life dedicated to her 
family. Her happiest times were preparing Sunday dinner with those she loved, and her 
daily trips to Mt. Carmel for Mass. She will always be loved and never forgotten. 
Visitation will be held Friday, March 4, 2011, 3 to 9 p.m. at The Elms Funeral Home, 
7600 W. Grand Ave. (at the Circle), Elmwood Park, IL 60707. Funeral visitation 
Saturday, March 5, 2011, 9 a.m. to time of Mass, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel 
Church,1101 N. 23rd Ave., Melrose Park, IL. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
