obit of Frank J. Rodia
RODIA, THELMA MAXINE Thelma passed into the hands of God September, 3, she 
was 94. Born in Iowa, she moved to the state of Washington as a young woman where 
she met, fell in love, and married Frank Rodia a professional golfer. Thelma attended 
the Cornish school of art and worked as the secretary to the CEO of the Washington 
Mutual Bank, in Seattle. She and Frank moved to San Diego and raised their family. 
Thelma was an avid collector of American antiques, a whiz with a needle and thread 
making clothes, and spending hours doing needle point. She loved to travel, read and 
visit with her grandchildren. After Frank preceded her in death, she relocated to 
Novaro, California to be near her beloved family. She is survived by her daughter 
Donna K. Mani and husband Dr. John R. Mani; son James W. Rodia; and grandsons 
and their wives, Chris and Susan Mani, and their children Nicholas and Grace; Steve 
and Josie Mani and their sons Joshua, Dylan and Zachary; and Michael Mani. She will 
be remembered and loved by all of us. She was in every sense a true lady! A Memorial 
Service was held to celebrate her life.
