Josephine C. Rodia, age 85, of Bridgeport, a homemaker, died on Wednesday, March 
8, 2000, at Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Harrison, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late 
Salvatore and Michelina Torreso. Mrs. Rodia was a lifelong Bridgeport resident, and 
enjoyed working at Frisbee Pie Co. during her youth. Survivors include her beloved 
husband of 63 years, Neil L. Rodia; a son, John and Fay Rodia of the Huntington 
section of Shelton; a daughter, Madeline and Bart Archibald of Stratford; a sister, 
Florence Klembara of Stratford; six grandchildren, Michael A. Archibald and his wife, 
Pamela, Denise J. Goddard and her husband, Christopher, Madeline R. Archibald and 
her fiance, Gregory Alfonso, Robin P. Casl and her husband, Brian, John Anthony 
Rodia and his wife, Gale, and Amy Elizabeth Rodia; five great-grandchildren, 
Samantha, Nicole, Gillian, Sloane and Cole; and several nieces and nephews. She 
was predeceased by three brothers, Samuel, Salvatore and Michael Torreso; and two 
sisters, Mary Lesko and Eleanor Michaels. Funeral services will take place on 
Saturday, March 11, 2000, at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 
White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church for a Mass of 
Christian Burial. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Friday 
from 4 to 8 p.m.
