David Jackson Etheridge Ventura, CA David Jackson Etheridge went home to be with 
our heavenly father on April 30, 2015 with his loving wife and family by his side. He 
was born June 28, 1931 in a tent under an oil well in Oklahoma City, OK. Dave was a 
loving husband, father, grandfather , brother and friend to many. Dave served in the 
US Navy for 20 years. Survived by his wife of 34 years, Shirley Etheridge, daughter 
Karen Etheridge of San Diego, daughter Desi Etheridge of Oregon step son Dan Swim 
(Rhonda) of Ventura, step daughter Kelly Ritchie(Brian) of Camarillo, 5 grandchildren- 
Stephanie, Nathan & Josiah Swim and Brandon and Amanda Ritchie. Also survived by 
his 2 brothers: Garland Etheridge of Ecuador and Sherman Etheridge of Oklahoma. 
Special Thanks to Treacy Villa and staff, ProCare Hospice and staff, cardiologist Dr 
Brooks and Dr. Castel for their excellent care. In his honor, a Celebration of life will be 
Way. A Dockside Military Honors ceremony followed by a memorial and scattering of 
his ashes on board the "Sunfish" vessel. Please join us for this informal ceremony at
