WOODBURY - Funeral services for Mrs. Helene M. (Calabrese) Rodia, 87, of 
Applegate Lane, were held Friday, December 29, at 1 p.m. at the Woodward-Mattoon 
Memorial Chapel in Evergreen Cemetery, Watertown. Burial was in Evergreen 
Cemetery, Watertown. 

Mrs. Rodia, widow of Angelo J. Rodia, died Wednesday, December 27, at St. Mary's 
Hospital in Waterbury. She was born in Watertown on March 31, 1908, daughter of 
the late Michael and Savaria (Venditti) Calabrese. She was a graduate of Crosby High 
School in Waterbury, and the New Haven Normal School. She lived most of her life in 
Watertown. She worked for the State of Connecticut, Departmentof Vocational 
Rehabilitation until her retirement. She was a former member of Christ Episcopal 
Church in Watertown, and served on the Altar Guild and with the Parish Helpers. 

She leaves two sons, Paul M. Rodia of Woodbury and Arthur L. Rodia of Shelton; 
seven grandchildren; and a nephew, David May of Cheshire.
