he probably is one of the men named Sabato Rodia born in 1860 (though they could 
be the same person), but marriage to Giuseppina Rodia took place in 1894. Could he 
have married her sister Angelina, had John, then Angelina died, and he married 
Giuseppina? That would explain the naming pattern for the children of John.
Ottaviano De Biase, "I Rodia" (2021) makes the connection
probably married Giuseppina first, hence the margin note
