obit of William J. Gahagan
William J. "Billy" Gahagan III, an electrician, died Monday of cancer. He was 25 and 
lived in South Philadelphia. 

Gahagan was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 
98. He was a graduate of St. John Neumann High School and the Philadelphia 
Wireless Technical Institute. Before working out of the union local he was employed 
for a short time at Channel 48. 

Survivors include his parents, William J. Jr. and Maryann Cancila Gahagan; a sister, 
Sharon Gahagan, and his maternal grandparents, Sam and Millie Cancila. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Monica's Church, 
17th and Ritner streets. Burial will be private. 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Monti Funeral 
Home, 2533-35 S. Broad St. 

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., 
Philadelphia, Pa. 19103.
