oseph A. Mazzullo, a U.S. Postal Service retiree, died Nov. 27, 2001. He was 88.
Mr. Mazzullo was born in Ralston, Pa. and was a boy when he came with his family to
Rochester. He graduated from Aquinas Institute.
During World War II, he served in both the U.S. Army Air Corps and Infantry Postal
Units. He was stationed in Germany. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post No. 160.
Mr. Mazzullo was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, and retired from there after
24 years.
He was a resident of Irondequoit for 31 years.
In earlier years, Mr. Mazzullo enjoyed dancing, his wife, Jennie, said. He also liked to
read the newspaper and do the daily crossword puzzles, and liked to play cards and
bingo.
"He was a quiet man who liked people," she added.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jennie Rodio Mazzullo; sons, William (Peggy)
Mazzullo, Joseph Mazzullo, Anthony Mazzullo; six grandchildren; sister, Nancy
Mazzullo; brother, Mario Mazzullo; nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ambrose Church.
Interment was at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Paul W. Harris Funeral Home.

Chapter, 435 East Henrietta Road, Rochester, N.Y., 14620.
