Mary Jane (Marciante) Cirino, 79, died on Monday, July 14, 2008, at her home after a 
battle with cancer. She would have celebrated 60 years of marriage to Salvatore S. 
Cirino on Aug. 15. 

She was born in Boston Aug. 16, 1928, the youngest of four children of the late 
Vincenzo and Maria (DiMatteo) Marciante. She was raised in Boston and graduated 
from the Don Bosco Vocational School in Boston. She worked in sales at many retail 
stores and was skilled at sewing, especially children's clothes. 

Mrs. Cirino volunteered her time at the Jesuit Seminary Guild in Boston as a record 
clerk. She retired as a clerk from Lawrence Memorial Hospital. 

Cooking for her family was a great enjoyment for her. She taught herself how to bake 
and was considered a first class baker/hostess. She also enjoyed dancing with her 
husband. 

Besides her husband, she is survived by three children and their spouses: Greg and 
his wife Patricia (Eller) Cirino of Wyndham, N.H., Jeffrey and his wife Eileen (Glynn) 
Cirino of Medford and Jane Barry of Beverly; four grandchildren; one great-
granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, and friends. 

She is also the sister of the late Frank Marciante, Anna Giacobbe and Carmella 
Pirone. 

A funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, July 18, in St. William's Church. Burial was 
at St. Mary Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 
MA 01701, will be appreciated. 

Arrangements were under the direction of the Tewksbury Funeral Home.
