PERNA, DONALD J. 83 - of Hammonton passed away with his family by his side on 
Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Atlantic Care Med. Center, Pomona. Born in 
Rosedale, he was a life long resident of Hammonton. He retired in 1991 from the 
former Whitehall Labs, Hammonton. He also worked at the Glossy Fruit Farm, 
Hammonton. Donald was a Honorably Discharged E5 Sergeant serving in the NJ 
National Guard with 14 years service. He was formerly President of the HHS School 
Band boosters, former member of the Assumption Society and was involved with many 
functions of the Hammonton Centennial Celebration. Donald took joy and was an 
excellent cook and loved to cook for family and friends especially around the holidays 
and cooked for many Gunning clubs in the area. He also enjoyed going to the Casino's 
in Atlantic City with Betty. Predeceased by his wife Marie (nee Berenato). He is 
survived by his devoted companion Betty Scottino, two daughters Donna Patton 
(Charles) Debbie DiDonato (Steve) of Hammonton. A brother Joseph Perna (Helen) of 
Pomona. Four grandchildren Stacey Arena (Matt), Amy Heggan (Ricky), Christina and 
Matthew DiDonato, and one great child Tyler Heggan. A Viewing will be held Sunday, 
November 4, 2012 from 6-9 PM and Monday, November 5, 2012 from 8 AM at the 
Landolfi Funeral Home 237 Bellevue Ave. Hammonton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 
celebrated 930 AM Monday at the St. Mary of Mt Carmel Parish, St. Joseph Church 3rd 
St. Hammonton. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Hammonton. Family requests
