CONCORD Marion B. Carter, 82, of Concord, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017, 
at Carolinas HealthCare System University in Charlotte. Marion was born Sept. 27, 
1934, in Vermont to the late Richard Peter Brunau and the late Hazel Helen Henry. 
She was also preceded in death by sister, Lorraine Monks. The family will receive 
friends from 1 to 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 17, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. 
The funeral service will be held Monday, April 17, 3 p.m., at Center United Methodist 
Church in Concord, officiated by Pastor Tony Allen. Burial will follow in the church 
Cemetery at 1119 Union St. South, Concord, NC 28025. Survivors include husband, 
William "Toots" Carter of Concord; son, Dale Glen Rodia of Concord; stepson, Thomas 
Carter; stepson, Jeff Carter, brother, Richard Brunau; brother, Peter Brunau; and 
sister, Jacqueline Pinto. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Carter family.
