Vera L. Miller Grass, 88, of Miami, Fla., formerly of Dunbar, died Monday, May 20, 
2002, at home. She was born Sept. 6, 1913, in Everson, daughter of the late George 
Miller and Estella Enfield. Surviving are sons, William Paul, James M. and Alfred R. 
Grass; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. In 
addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. "Bill" 
Grass, in 1973; a sister, Janet Robbins; and a brother, William "Bill" Nicholson. 
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville 
St., Dunbar, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Morning prayers will be said in the 
funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 
a.m. in St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father J. Edward 
McCullough as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
