I do not know of Lewis Walker's brothers nor of his father. Lewis was
born in Merioneth Co., North Wales, of English Parents. He married Mary
Morris, whom he met on the ship coming to this country, Nov. 26, 1693 in
Haverford meeting House, Chester County, PA, daughter of John Morris and
Ellen Williams of Wales. He stood about 6'4" tall and built a house in
Chester County, called "Rehobeth." 

His son, Daniel, was part owner of the first forge built at Valley
Forge--it was originally called Mountjoy Forge, though commonly known
later as Valley Forge. His partners were Stephen Evans and Joseph
Williams. His family helped feed Washington's troops.

A person named DeForrester, a king's forester, had a child Anthony Walker, b? d 11 
may 1590. Walker took his name from his occupation, a walker of royal forests. 
Anthony was of St. Andrews Wardrobe, London. Anthony had a child Thomas Walker, 
Esq, b? d 12 Oct 1613. Thomas was from Westminster and held various positions and 
titles of honor, including "Usher of the Court of Exchange, maked Proclamator and 
Baron of the Court of Common Pleas.' He had a child Clement Walker, Esq. d 1651, 
Clement Walker was of Middle Temple Hydon, Somerset, he "had special livery of his 
father's lands." He had a son John Walker, who "was celebrated as the one to 
introduce the system of fallowing land and of revising wheat crops more thoroughly 
than formerly. He married into the ancient family Heneage, descendants of Sir Robert 
Heneage, mention in history as living during the reign of Henry III, in the thirteenth 
century. The Heneage coat of arms was conferred upon the Walker family by this 
marriage." Child: Lewis Walker.
Also says Mary Morris is thedaughter of John Morris, but no mother given. Says Lewis 
Walker was disowned by his relatives for becoming a Quaker "and deprived of 
government honors; or as said by some one at the time, 'he laid down these honors 
conferred by the government'" per Biographic Annals of Lancaster County (Pa) volume 
1. Says came originally from the border of Scotland, buried in Valley Friends Cemetery, 
Wayne, Pa., went to Phila, then Valley Forge, erected first stone residence at Valley 
Forge, purchased 1,000 acres from William Penn, residence used by Goerge 
Washington. Stuff from Biographical Annals of Lancaster co 1903 rpeated in postin on 
pa-roots.
In the genealogical and heraldic history of the commoners..... is an entry for George-
Heneage Heneage-Walker, who inherited title under will of his maternal great-uncle's 
widow. Lands in Wilts, Berks, Somerset, etc. He is hereditary chief usher of the court 
of Exchequer and chief proclamator of the court of Common Pleas. Then gives 
descendants of Sir Robert Heneage. When descendant Charles Heneage died in 1738 
he left two dtrs neither of whom married, so estate when to issue of their aunt, Cecil, 
eldest daughter of Sir Michael Heneage and wife of John Walker of Inner Temple and 
Hadley, Middlesex. It then traces Walker descent (with much more info) to John 
Walker who married Cecil Heneage. They had 2 sons, Heneage who died without 
issue, and who was succeed by "his only brother," John, who died 27 Apr 1758. There 
is no mention of a Lewis Walker and nothing to indicate the Scottish border, or Wales.

According to a letter reprinted in Priscilla Walker Street's Walker Genealogy, his sister 
Jane writes to hom on 8 June 1715, and says their mother died "this twelve-month 
since May last" also refers to a James Lewis, an uncle John and his wife "dead these 
severall years" and aunt Maud "likewise dead," and "unkell Eynon he was a man of 
war, and went to the wars some yeaer agoe to fight against the french and we neaver 
heard of him more." Refers to John Lewis that came from castlebith and cozen Mary 
lewis [the latter 2 apparently in Penna with Lewis Walker] also Mary Lewis is married. 
Appended to this letter is a postscript from Isaac Phillpin, who refers to a cousin 
Daniell Philpin.
In her account of her trip to Wales, Priscilla mentions Jane's reference to uncle 
Eynon, and she thinks Lewis Walker's mother was an Eynon, and there are families by 
that name in Pembrokeshire at the time. Lewis was very tall (6'4") and perhaps his 
father came from Yorkshire to Wales.
Lewis' sister Jane married David Morris, children Evan, Elizabeth, Margaret. Askes 
how is Mary Lewis and her sister Ann Lewis. Refers to Lewis' two sisters.
