with feoffment of dwelling house and land called Meersbecke involving William 
Wainhouse of Birkby and Edward Wainhouse his son and heir apparent. 14 Feb 1681

my notes from july 09 research, from archives.uk.gov, 1646, John Wainhouse of 
Birkby, yeoman, to his father Edward and brother William
awt Fletcher of Cockermouth Hall, Cumberland, England says that William is son of 
Edward and Elline, says Edward b c 1590 based on baptism date of first child, and 
Edward/Elline have Mary, Dorithy, Edward, Israel, Elline, William. Mary bap 1609 (md 
Thomas Finstat 1631), so that makes 1578 far better a date than 1590!!
And I think Elline is a guess based on names of children
