"he married Catherine Livingston who was the daughter of Phillip Livingston.  By this 
marriage he had no issue.  By LENAH (or LINA, CATALINA) DEFOREST, his mistress, 
he had one illegitimate son, John Lawrence.  He mentions this son both in a court 
deposition and his will in which he leaves him a substantial sum of money as well as 
conditions set in for his brothers to see to both his education and well being. "
