Note:
He [William de Ros] married Sibyl DE VALOGNES, and died in 1162 or 1163. His 
widow married, 2ndly, circa 1166, William DE PERCY, who died probably in 1174 or 
1175; and 3rdly, in 1181 or 1182, Ralph D'AUBIGNY (brother of William D'AUBIGNY of 
Belvoir), who died before Michaelmas 1192. She was living in 1212, possibly in 1218, 
and was buried at Nun Appleton Priory. [Complete Peerage XI:91, transcribed by Dave

He [William de Percy] married, 2ndly, circa 1166, Sibyl DE VALOGNES, widow of 
Robert DE Ros (of Helmsley). He was living in the year ending at Michaelmas 1170, 
and probably in that beginning at Michaelmas 1174, and he died s.p.m.s., before 
Easter 1175. He was buried at Fountains Abbey. His widow, who had dower in 
Leconfield and Nafferton, married, 3rdly, circa 1182, Ralph D'AUBIGNY. He died 
before Michaelmas 1192. She was living in 1212; and was buried at Nun Appleton

Henry Sutliff, MCS, & CP give no ancestry for Sibyl de Valognes. Douglas Richardson, 
'Royal Ancestry' naming her Sibyl Valoines, states that she was a daughter of 
Theobald.

Note: Henry Sutliff indicated that Gunnor & Matilda d'Albini were daughters of Sibyl & 
Ralph d'Albini, but that Ralph may have been son of a 2nd wife (I don't see how 
because Sibyl apparently outived her 3rd husband Ralph). Also Gunnor could not have 
been the daughter of an 1181-1182 marriage and had Gilbert de Gand who was born 
c1180.
