Turton has William, d. 1176 as son of Robert (instead of William) de Courci & Avice de 
Mischines (His spelling, I say le Meschin: "de" implies a place one is from, which is 
not the case here as there is no place named Meschin). Turton had Robert as son of 
another Robert, who m. Rohese Grentemesnil, and that Robert as son of Richard de 
Curci and Guandalmode.

However the chart on CP VIII:48/9 shows that William was son of William II de Curcy 
who married Avice (or Amice) de Rumelli, daughter of William le Meschin & Cicely de 
Rumelli. William II was son of another William, Sewer of Henry I, who was son of 
Richard de Curcy of Newenham, Oxon. Richard is presumably the same as the Richard 
de Curci, husband of Guandalmode in Turton.

Chris Phillips looked up two sources on William III (VCH - VIctoria County History for 
Oxford, & DD - Domesday Descendants (Keats-Rohan)). They had two different death 
dates (1176, 1171) and VCH stated that Gundrada de Warenne was William's 2nd wife 
(DD didn't mention any other wife than Gundrada). VCH states that Gundrada held 
Newenham (Nuneham Courtenay) in dower until her death in 1224.
