Patricia Junkin states that Maud, Lady of Cuverville was from "Curveville" with 
demesne in Castillon, France. There is a Castillon-en-Auge in Calvados, Normandy, 
which happens to be within 2 kil. of Vieux-Pont, which is an alternate name for the 
Vipont/Veteriponte family.

On another note, a Portugese Passenger Ship company, describing a cruise of 
Antartica, stated one of its destinations was Curveville Island, while the map it used, 
clearly stated Cuverville Island. Taking Cuverville as an alternate spelling for 
Curveville (or visa-versa), there is a Cuverville in Calvados Normandy (actually two 
very close together (about 500 yards), with the other named "Cuverville-sur-Yeres"). 
There is also a Cuverville in the department of Eure and a Cuverville in the department 
of Seine-Maritime (known as Seine-Inferieure during William the Conqueror's time).
