In genforum posting (genforum.genealogy.com/tucker/messages), he is described as
"of New York city" in a transcript of old writings by Elizabeth's sister's child. Says "Mr.
W was very wealthy". Apparently they had a large family as did the son Edmund H.
Weyman.
Abner dropped his middle name when his father died.

Their dtr Cornelia Frances Weyman, b 26 Mar 1812 in Savannah, Ga. married Robert
Colgate II on 23 Nov 1836 at 35 Howard St, NYC. (per book, Robert Colgate the
immigrant, on ancestry.com) Much on this family, see Riggs family of Maryland (follows
his marriage to second wife, a Riggs). Both of their children married but neither had
children.
He was a sergeant in the 1 Batt'n Art'y (late 9 reg't) New York in War of 1812

Georgia Marriages, on ancestry.com says m 22 May 1810 Chatham Co., Ga.
There is a record of his arrival from England 29 July 1839, on the British Queen, age
50, a merchant. So he made a trip to England.
Per Who was who in finance: Weyman, Abner, tax list of 1823 gives 33 and 35 Maiden
Lane, real, $14,000 (page 139), "Abner Weyman, 200,000 one of the richest "tailors"
of our city. A worthy family."

The first Abner is our Abner Jr. Abner N. is the son of John Weyman (who in turn is the
son of Abner Sr by his first wife). Abner N. was b 1809, d Nov 1847, md 2 Jul 1833
Eliza Ann Thorne, dtr of T. W. Thorne, in NYC, by Rev Thoma Lyle (info from
familysearch entry). Edmund is our Edmund, Henry A. is his brother Henry, M.E. is
Milton Evans Weyman (so now I have started looking for M.E. Weyman rather than
Milton), Rebecca? Not sure, William, possibly son of Abner Sr or perhaps a grandson.

Walker, son of George L. and Isabella (Weyman) Walker, was born in New York City,
March 20, 1845. He traveled somewhat extensively after graduation, and subsequently
studied law in New York, where he died suddenly, Aug. 16, 1876, aged 31 years.
