Lambert of Chalon (French: Lambert de Chalon; 930 - 22 February 978) was the count 
of Chalon from 956 to 978, and count of Autun.

He was the son of Robert of Dijon and Ingeltrude, and the brother to Robert, viscount 
of Chalon.

Around 968, he married Adelaide of Chalon, the daughter of Gilbert, Duke of Burgundy 
and widow of Robert of Vermandois. Their children included Hugh, count of Chalon 
and bishop of Auxerre,[1] and Gerberga,[2] who was married to Adalbert of Italy.[3]

He was succeeded in Chalon by his son Hugh.
[A birthdate of 930 is too late for the date fo birth of Gerberge, who cannot be born 
later than 938 because of the date of birth of her child, etc.]
