founder of the church of San Gaetano {the Hermitage) (founded 1657 afterh he had 
been afflicted by the plague that killed about 1,000 people in Serino, and then 
recovered the next year.) The chapel and surrounding lands wre eventually purchased 
by the Greco family.

continue his eductioan to be a priest, but was sent to the University of Naples wher 
he received his degree in law.
