1637 requests transfer to Holy Land, granted in 1639, leaves Naples in 1640
Appointed chronologist of the Custodia to continue compiling the Annals of the Holy 
Land
goes to Egypt, 1644 appointed guardian of Santa Maria di Larnaca
1648 given choice between being assigned to Jerusalem or Constantinople
became a prisoner of teh Turks, ransomed by the Venetians
reached Constantinople via Tripoli and Cyprus
1656 arrived in Ragusa (today Split)
His manuscripts sent to the General Curia of the Franciscan Order, where they 
remained until 1798 when they were sold
His diary was found at the Franciscan Museum in Marseille, then lost
