Joseph attended local schools in the Phoenixville area, and graduated from 
Phoenixville High School. He served two yars in the U.S. Army, and was discharged 
on Feb. 8, 1956. In 1956, Joseph began working with the Metropolitan Insurance 
Company. He worked in Texas for some years. He now is associated with Security 
Trust Life Insurance Company in Macon, Georgia, as a manager of field accounting in 
the company's home office.
Joseph and Louise are divorced.
Joseph and Marjorie reside at 5165 Zebulon Drive, Macon, Ga., 31210.

Joseph D. Zappone Sr., 74, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, in Arlington.
Graveside service: 4:30 p.m. Thursday in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas with Father 
Tom Hightower officiating. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Sparkman/Hillcrest 
Funeral Home in Dallas.
Joseph was born Oct. 15, 1933, to Dominic and Rose Zappone. He was a retired 
insurance manager and field auditor. Joseph proudly served his country during the 
Korean War.
Survivors: His loving wife of 28 years, Marjorie Zappone; sons, Larry Zappone and Joe 
Zappone Jr. and wife, Ginger; stepchildren, John Hall and wife, Buffy, Cindy Brown 
and husband, Rusty, Barbie Brooks and husband, Charlie, Art Buhl and wife, Sandy, 
Bob Buhl and wife, Heidi, and Margaret Sewell; 15 grandchildren; four great-
granchildren; sister, Anna Marie Di Guisseppi; and brother, Nick Zappone.
