ALLEN H. MERCER JR., 77, OF SPRING CITY Allen H. Mercer Jr., 77, husband of the 
late Annette J. (Scaringi) Mercer, of Spring City, passed away on Thursday, September 
8, 2011 in Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Allen 
H. Sr and Anna (Newman) Mercer. Allen worked at L. G. Industries in Wagontown, PA. 
Surviving are a son, Richard and wife Susan Mercer of Phoenixville; daughter, Renee 
Miller of Birdsboro; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and sister, Mildred 
Hemlock of Coatesville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell Mercer. 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service in the Devlin-Rosmos-
Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, 
Phoenixville, on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jack A. Mason 
officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Black Rock Cemetery, Phoenixville. A 
viewing will be held in the funeral home on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. Condolences
