BROOKFIELD Harvey H. Bennett, 80, of 88 Rice Corner Rd. died at his son's home in 
Gilbertville on Tues. Sept. 2, 2003. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of Edward L. 
and Alta M. (Eaton) Bennett. He lived in Brookfield most of his life. He was a Naval 
Veteran of WWII. He Attended Brown University. He was the owner and operator of a 
dairy farm. He was the Veterans' Agent for the town of Brookfield, their Animal Control 
Officer and Animal Inspector. He was the Brookfield Cemetery superintendent, 
Constable and the Town Hall custodian. He was a former night club owner in Kansas. 
He leaves his wife of 50 years; Alice (Digel) Bennett of Brookfield, 4 sons: Jody R. 
Bennett of Gilbertville, Timothy H. Bennett and Teddy Bennett both of Spencer; 
Thomas E. Bennett of Warren; a daughter Tracy McNeely of Brookfield, 11 
grandchildren and 2 great grandsons; several nieces and nephews. A son Phillip 
Bennett, a brother William Bennett, 2 sisters Eleanor Ray and Ruth Spence 
predeceased him. Pillsbury Funeral Home Old West Brookfield Rd, is directing 
arrangements. At his request, no funeral service is planned. In lieu of flowers 
donations may be made to the Brookfield Emergency Squad, Central St., Brookfield, 
MA 01506.
