Joseph bore his final illness with manly composure, sweetness of disposition, and 
without a complaint, grateful for the attention of his friends, and closed his venerable 
life without a struggle, as an infant composing itself to sleep.  Leaving the conso9ling, 
showed that he had entered into that land "where sorrow is unknown and happiness 
endless as it is perfect".
