From 25 June 1891 Trenton Evening Times: "Lahue-Thomas. A Wedding in State 
Street M. E. Church Yesterday Morning.
"A pretty wedding took place at noon yesterday in the State Street M. E. Church. The 
contracting parties were Miss Mary L. Thomas and George A. Lahue, both of South 
Amboy.
"The bride is a lday of marked enterprise, culture and literary ability, and until recently 
was principal of a large school at South Amboy, where she was much loved by her 
teachers and scholars. The bridegroom is a merchant doing a prosperous business in 
the above-named place.
"Rev. Dr. Joseph E. Smith officiated at the ceremony, assisted by Rev. Mr. Zelloy of 
South Amboy and Rev. Mr. Abbott of Trenton. About 400 guests were present at the 
church.
"The bride was attired in a lovely dress of white silk and old family lace and carried a 
bouquet of white brides's roses. The maid of honor was Miss Lulu M. Heward of 
Hackensack and the best man was William B. Heward of the same city. The ushers 
were Mr. Walton M. Watson of Trenton, Mr. Henry H. Feider and Mr. James T. Feider 
of Hackensack, and Mr. Lew F. Cronk of Newark.
"After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. Thomas, No. 
118 West State street at which about [illegible]00 were present. A fine collation was 
served by caterer Hill.
"The presents were numerous and very handsome, including two solid silver sets, an 
oxidized silver clock, delicate china and vases besides many other beautiful and 
costly gifts. Most of the guests were from out of the city."
This definitely is her. The 118 West State street address is her mother's address in her 
mother's obit, and the Heward and Fieder [Fidler] names fit.

NJ Wills and Probate Rec on ancestry: executor of her estate is Ida Kirby. She ends 
up as wife of George Lahue in 1900 census. Her obit in 2 May 1914 South Amboy 
Citizen says she is widow of George LaHue, died of pneumonia age 62. Was a teacher 
(as was Mary Louisa Thomas). Survived by aunt, Harriett A. Mulford, who resided with 
her.
