Dorothy J. (nee Blackburn) Grosse, 85, of White Horse Village in Newtown Square, 
formerly of Media and Lansdowne, on August 5, 2009. She was born October 24, 1923 
in Vineland NJ the daughter of the late Wayne and Myrtle (nee Clendenon) Blackburn. 
Beloved wife of Dr. Edward M. Grosse; devoted mother of Robert E. Grosse of 
Glendale AZ, Frederick Grosse of NC and the late Stephen W. Grosse; dear sister of 
the late James and George (Bud) Blackburn; also survived by three grandchildren 
Katy, Alan and Amanda as well as her niece and nephews. A Memorial Service will be 
Tuesday 2pm at White Horse Village Main Auditorium 535 Gradyville Rd. Newtown 
Square. Flowers or Memorial Contributions to White Horse Village Landscape Advisory 
Committe 535 Gradyville Rd. Newtown Square, PA 19073 would be appreciated. 
Arrangements in the care of the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home and Private Crematory 
301 Chester Pike, Norwood.
