Leonora White Whicker 
(March 13, 1926 - December 12, 2006) 
 
Leonora Mae White Whicker, 80, of West Main Street, Richmond, passed away 
Tuesday, December 12, 2006, at her home. 
A native of Somerset, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Deuel “R. D.” 
White and Daisy Leona Maule White. 

She was a life-long seamstress and employee of Mickey’s Fabrics and the owner of 
Leonora’s Fabrics. She worked as a clerk for Miller & Patton Auction Company for over 
30 years, as well as various other auction companies. She was a supervisor at ACS 
and was a dealer at the Angliana Antique Show for 13 years. 

Survivors include two daughters, Vickie (Clinton) Allen and Jackie (Bill) Hammons, 
both of Richmond; two brothers, Lawrence (Loretta) White of Lexington and Clyde 
White of Corbin; one sister, Dorothy White Whitaker (Henderson Jr.) of Richmond; five 
grandchildren, Kevin Worrell, Michelle Mouyeos, Melissa Gooch Lewis (Daniel), 
Jessica Cole and Bryan Cole; four great grandchildren, Chase Shepherd, Ciana Lewis, 
Cole Lewis and Steven Luster. 

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral 
Home with Bro. Scott Guiley officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until service time on 
Friday at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice Care Plus, 208 Kidd Drive, 
Berea, KY 40403. 

The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Patricia Barnwell, the caregivers 
with Tri County Geriatric Care, the Kenwood Rehabilitation staff, therapists, nurses 
and aides.
