Mrs. Elma Kyger Edwards, wife of Charles R. Edwards passed on Monday morning at 
6:15 o"clock at her home near Lebanon, MO. The body was brought to this city for 
interment. Services were to have been held in the cemetery but due to the rain they 
were held in the home of Mrs. T. F. Moagher.

Elma Kyger Edwards was born in Oregon, MO, May 7, 1866. She was the daughter of 
Nimrod and Susan Harrison Kyger. She was married to Charles R. Edwards. Oct. 2, 
1895 at the home of her sister, Mrs. Frank Evans in Kansas City.

To this union were born 3 daughters: Mrs. E.J. Walser, Lebanon, MO., Josephine 
Edwards, Seattle, WA and Esther Edwards at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Edwards moved from Oregon to Oklahoma, Sept., 1902. In 1910 they 
moved to a farm near Lebanon, where they were residing at the time of Mrs. Edward's 
passing on.

She is survived by her husband; the three daughters, ; two grandchildren, Jorie and 
Edward Walser; two brothers, Ellsworth Kyger of Pasedena, CA, and Lem Kyger of Los 
Angeles, CA; a niece, Mrs. Max Morehouse of Salina, Kansas; and a nephew, Herbert 
K. Evans of Kansas City and other relatives in Oregon and Mound City. A Sister, Myrtle 
K Evans passed on two years ago.

The services were conducted by the Rev. W. M. Blood of the Methodist church of this 
city. The scripture reading included Mrs. Edward's favorite verses from the Bible--
Psalms 91: Micah 6:8. The following suited her life and passing on: "But he knoweth 
the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold." --- Job 23:10.
All of the immediate family were present at the services.

Those from out of town attending the services besides her husband were her three 
daughters: Mrs. E. J. Walser and husband of Lebanon, MO, Miss Josephine Edwards 
of Seattle, WA: and Miss Esther Edwards of the home, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert K. Evans 
of Kansas Cith and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schooler and son, Franklin of Maitland, MO.
