originally something had her married to John Benfield. I cannot find a John Benfield. 
that would fit the dates/places. Nor can I find a Cora Benfield in any census record 
other than where she is with her parents.
There is another Cora Stratton in Perry, Columbiana Co Ohio in 1870 census, b 1867, 
dtr of George and Priscilla Stratton. Which one married Benfield? Which one married 
Albert Vansyoc? IN 1880 census this Cora is no longer in the county or the state. 
Records at ancestry.com show a Cora S Stratton md to Vansyoc, giving her the same 
birth and death dates/places as our Cora. But 1900 census shows the Cora who md 
VanSyoc as b Mar 1858 in Ohio, mother b MICHIGAN!!!
The Long Island Genealogy website has Albert A VanSyoc with two wives, an Anna E 
Wallace (mother of Minne and Glen), who died 12 Jan 1932 and b 6 Jul 1873, and 
Cora S. Stratton, with our Cora's birthdate, place and deathdate. Van Syoc's father 
Enoch Pierson Van Syoc. His mother? Phebe C. Crew! Enoch's mother was Ruth 
Cope,
