22 Aug 1922 Cleveland Plain-Dealer: "Warren, O., Aug 21 -- Archer Richards, 
architect and designer, died at his home here last night, the result of nervous shock 
from a fall several weeks ago. Mr. Richards was the designer of some of the finest 
dining and private cars used on steam railways all over the country. He was the son of 
William T. Richards of Philadelphia, a well-known artist."
Hverford Biographical Data on archive.org, he entered Haverford in 1871, left in 1873. 
Published papers in scientific journals. took 2 year special course in Stevens Institute 
of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, draughtsman, designer.
