Leonard Paul Phelps, 94, was a son of Leonard and Stella Mae (Coy) Phelps. He 
married Mary M. Anderson on April 4, 1975 in Mattoon, Illinois. She passed away on 
September 27, 2011.

He is survived by one sister, Norma Jean Bridges and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and five siblings.

Mr. Phelps was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He was an insurance salesman for Standard Life and he helped on his father's farm.

He was a member of the first Southern Baptist Church in Mattoon, where he sang in 
the choir.
